Preghiera
Ti salutiamo con tutta l'effusione del nostro cuore, o gloriosissimo
nostro Avvocato San Cataldo. Raccomandiamo alla tua pieta' tutti noi stessi e
quanto abbiamo. Degnati di esaudirci e proteggerci presso Iddio con la tua potente
intercessione, e fa' che la nostra vita sia conforme alla tua affinche' possiamo
venire con te a godere e lodare Iddio nel Santo Paradiso.

salute thee with our hearts o most glorious San Cataldo, our Protector and Advocate.
We remit all our possessions and ourselves to your pity. Be so graceful to bestow
upon us the protection and grace of God through your most potent intercession;
do so that our life conforms to yours to join you in Heaven to praise and enjoy
God.

devozione dei supinesi per San Cataldo, dice la professoressa Cristina Amoroso,
sia in Italia che all'estero e' tanto forte (si 'nci pensa San Catallo) che una
nuova statua del santo, il 5 maggio del 2002, raggiunge la chiesa parrocchiale
di S. Pio X, e benedetta da Monsignor Salvatore Boccaccio, vescovo di Frosinone,
Veroli e Ferentino, viene portata in processione nella chiesina di San Sebastiano,
a Santa Maria Maggiore, a San Nicola e quindi a San Pietro Apostolo.
La nuova
statua, quindi, ripercorre , in volo, il cammino dei tanti supinesi che hanno
lasciato il paese in cerca di lavoro fino a Toronto in Canada', con le parole
di Don Antonio Boni: "Il nostro santo e' anch'egli
pellegrino ed emigrante, amato da sempre perche' tenuto nel cuore a conforto,
e nell'effige che lo rappresenta, d'ora in poi, i fratelli all'estero potranno
piu' facilmente rendergli gli omaggi dovuti e rivolgergli le preghiere che lo
ricordano padre, amico, fratello ed anche difensore formidabile della fede degli
avi".

Supinesi's devotion for San Cataldo, said professor Cristina Amoroso, is so strong
in Italy and abroad, that a new statue, on the 5th of May 2002, arrived in San
Pio X to be blessed by Monsignor Salvatore Boccaccio, Bishop of Frosinone, Ferentino
and Veroli.
The statue was then taken, in solemn procession, to San Sebastiano,
Santa Maria Maggiore, San Nicola and finally to San Pietro from where it took
off for Toronto, Canada.
The new statue follows the tracks of those that left
Supino and landed in North America, in search of a new and better life in a new
continent.
Echoing the words of Don Antonio: Our Saint, like many Supinesi,
is a peregrine and an emigrant; loved always because His image was kept in their
hearts for comfort and hope.
The Supinesi in North America may now, and forever,
render homage and pray to the Saint in remembrance of His image of a Father, Brother,
Friend and mostly as a strenuous defender of the Faith of old.
